Kale is something I have struggles to like. However, I do like it baked with a little olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic powder on top!
Love kale! Drink it every day in my juice 🙂 The taste is so mild that you can’t even taste it.
I love kale when it’s sliced thin and mixed with pasta or added to soup.
The first time I tried kale, it was chewy and unappetizing, but I’m glad I gave it a second chance.
I’ve found so many good recipes, including this tip for salads:
Massage the kale lightly between your fingers with oil or vinaigrette – it works wonders for the texture!
I toss kale and chickpeas with olive oil, salt and pepper and then put it in a baking dish. Then I place a seasoned piece of salmon on top and bake in the oven for 15 minutes at about 400F. So good.
I love making kale chips! They get so crunchy and are a great alternative to potato chips!
Have yet to try Kale.
Kale is amazing, but remember that it needs to be steamed or juiced in order to get the most nutritional benefits….. it’s super fiber-y so slightly cooked or juiced is better than raw.
i need to start eating kale!
I have not found many versions of kale that I can stomach. I have found a kale cesar salad at a local restaurant that is paired with crispy parmesan cheese that is simply amazing. Not a fan kale done as chips though. Hoping I can find more I like!
I’m really not a fan of kale. I’ve tried it different ways and just don’t care for it.
Love it in smoothies and salads
Kale is a great snack and tastes delicious when combined with the right fruits in a smoothie. 🙂
I tried baking kale once with olive oil and salt. Epic fail! Plus, smelly house. I’d like to get the courage to try it again at some point…
I am not a huge fan of raw kale, but I love satueeing it and putting it in a frittata. It is so sharp that I need something like eggs to soften it out.
I’m always surprised how uneducated restaurants are about preparing kale. I’ve been excited about a kale salad before and spent $9-13 dollars and been very disappointed. It has to be soaked or blanched or sautéed or something! Yummmm. Great in juices too.
Was not a huge fan of kale until I tried the baked kale chips – now those I really like!
Not a fan of kale, but I’m gonna try Courtney clark’sidea
Never knew – great insight thank you
Our family loves Kale but didn’t realize all the health benefits…We love it roasted
I’m a huge kale fan! Although it’s hard to believe it’s the greens we always threw away on the side of our Burger and Fries plate 🙁 They should have roasted it and put it on our burgers back in the 80’s (little did we know). Great “did-you-know” sheet. Thanks for sharing the info!
I knew it was healthy but had no idea how healthy!
I used to think it was just for garnishing, but wow, looks like it’s even better as a food!
I started out small by putting a little in my salads — I was not much of a fan at first but now most of my salad is kale and I don’t even notice a difference.
I love Kale soup!
I ate Kale for the first time last Fall, my cousin in Canada had a fresh garden with Kale in it. She made the most awesome salad for my husband and I! I never knew it tasted so good!
I LOVE kale. I eat kale over any other salad leafy green. I usually just toss it with olive oil and lemon juice, salt and pepper.
LOVE kale!! Although, every time I make it, I make jokes about it looking like the fancy decorations in a fancy produce department, LOL
I need to start experimenting new recipes using kale! Reading about all the benefits got me curious!
Kale yeah!
Our first few tries with kale salads were not successful, but then I learned about massaging the kale. It is one of our favorite salad greens now!
Kale with roasted brussel sprouts and dried cherries with pomegranate red wine vinaigrette is a staple in my house. Topped with pistachios and candied walnuts, its perfect in winter as a starter, or in warmer months as a meal!
I used to think it was just for garnishing, but wow, looks like it’s even better as a food!
Love it sauteed in butter and garlic!!! Delicious!!!!
Loved this information about Kale! 🙂
Kale is not my favorite, but I do add it to meals periodically.
Kale is good for making smoothies.
Very true!
